Staff Analysis of the Legislation
SB 190 transfers the intake services of the Juvenile Court of Newton County to the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice. The transfer of intake services shall be subject to the availability of state funds for that purpose. Upon the transfer, two intake officers of the Juvenile Court of Newton County shall become employees of the Juvenile Justice Department.
